Claire and I surprised H with a trip to New York over the long holiday weekend, and we did it UP!

We swung by the TODAY Show bright and early Friday morning, and were featured at the top of the 8:00 hour - did you see us?

After that, we explored Rockefeller Center a bit before stopping by American Girl for a paint party and some shopping. That place is INCREDIBLE and was the highlight of the trip for H for sure. We had a delicious (early) dinner at Il Mulino before heading over to the Empire State Building to take in the view during golden hour and sunset. It was gorgeous! Afterwards, I was able to meet Christine for a bit which was so nice after a year and a half of not seeing each other.

Saturday, we tried the bagels at Liberty (so yum) and walked around Times Square all afternoon. It was a madhouse. That evening, we had dinner at the Russian Tea Room, followed by Aladdin on Broadway. What a show! We loved every minute of it.

Sunday, we had a leisurely brunch at Southgate right by the park, and explored Central Park for a bit. H. loved the carousel! Then, it was Fifth Avenue for shopping - where the Lego store was the big hit. We of course had to go back by American Girl for another looksie.

We stayed at the Lexington Hotel, and highly recommend it! We had so much fun exploring the city together, and it was so nice to be back.
